Ashland Ticket to Ride – A bike, walk and run family friendly event

Screen Shot 2018-04-23 at 11.57.05 AM.pngBike, walk or run through the main streets of Ashland and enjoy “train” stops along the way to learn some fun facts about the town of Ashland. Get your boarding pass punched at each stop and enjoy some wonderful discounts at the restaurants and shops in Ashland.

The trip begins at the Railroad Track trail beside the tracks on Archie Cannon Drive. There is a Public Works Complex parking area just west of the tracks on Archie Cannon where participants may park. Biker, runner and walker waves will leave between 2:15 and 2:30 pm. The trip ends at the Ashland Library.

Ashland Main Street Association mascots, Tinder and Cinder will be at the Visitors Center. This is a family friendly event. Everyone can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the most pedestrian/bike friendly town in Central Virginia.

The route is approximately 4.5 miles round-trip.

*This is an open road, participate at your own risk event. All regular open road rules apply for bikers, runners and walkers. Public restrooms are not available so please plan ahead.
