Ashland Ticket to Ride – May 27, 2018

We are hosting our first Bike Month event! Bike, walk or run through the main streets of Ashland and enjoy “train” stops along the way to learn some fun facts about the town of Ashland. Get your boarding pass punched at each stop and enjoy some wonderful discounts at the restaurants and shops in Ashland.

The trip begins at the Railroad Track trail beside the tracks on Archie Cannon Drive. There is a Public Works Complex parking area just west of the tracks on Archie Cannon where participants may park. Biker, runner and walker waves will leave between 2:15 and 2:30 pm. The trip ends at the Ashland Library.

Ashland Main Street Association mascots, Tinder and Cinder will be at the Visitors Center. This is a family friendly event. Everyone can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the most pedestrian/bike friendly town in Central Virginia.

The route is approximately 4.5 miles round-trip.
